Sadie Amara Calvano has become well-known for her character Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS sitcom Mom. Calvano was born in California and initially was attracted to gymnastics. But she decided later to pursue a career in acting. Her first appearance on screen was in 2010 in an Episode of CBS's 'NCIS. One year later her first major-screen debut was in the biographical crime movie J Edgar. Through the years, she's proven herself as among the most exciting actors of the current industry. In 2011, she received a Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress in TV Series, Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, as the role of a guest on Disney XD's "Kickin' It Comedy Series She was also nominated for the Young Artist Award. Calvano was part of the main cast of the show's the first three seasons. She also made several appearances in the final season. She was awarded the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star for her performance in Mom.
